For HITS 2020, proposals from all branches of the life sciences will be considered—including genomics, infectious disease, plant sciences, neuroscience, metabolomics, food and health, and biomedical research—or at the intersection of life sciences and other disciplines at Penn State such as materials science, cyberscience, social science, environmental science, etc.
Standard, shovel-ready proposals that are ripe for NSF or NIH funding will be rejected out of hand. This is your chance to try something bold—to pursue that really creative and risky project that you’ve always wanted to pursue.
