The Communication, Science, and Society Initiative (CSSI) is a transdisciplinary research partnership between Penn State’s Department of Communication Arts and Sciences and the Huck Institutes for the Life Sciences.
The CSSI brings together researchers focused on developing strategies for undertaking and disseminating research that addresses significant social problems, particularly those that arise at the intersection of human communication/behavior and biological science (broadly construed). Together, researchers affiliated with the CSSI work to forge new methods of problem identification and practices of collaboration and team-science.
