Center for Structural Oncology

Engineering new paradigms to create a world without cancer.

Cancer is relentless and resourceful. Researchers need the same mindset. The new Center for Structural Oncology at Penn State joins researchers with a common goal of conquering cancer. We take a multi-dimensional approach to investigate the molecular culprits of this devastating disease. Our researchers compete for major funding resources to tackle intractable questions and propel the field to new heights.

We are working together to combat BRCA1-related breast and ovarian cancers, glioblastoma, and pancreatic cancer. We welcome scientists, engineers, clinical practitioners, cancer survivors, and allies to join our team. Our technical expertise includes cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, drug design and nanoparticle delivery systems, and novel therapeutic development.
