The Center of Excellence in Industrial Biotechnology (COEIB) will be hosting a virtual fermentation workshop this Fall, and we are welcoming all to attend!

This is a 4-session workshop, held over four Thursdays:
- 8/14/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
- 8/21/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
- 8/28/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
- 9/4/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

The cost of attendance is $599/person.

The workshop will be led by one of Penn State’s esteemed Agricultural and Biological Engineering professors, Dr. Ali Demirci; featuring presentations from the director of Penn State's CSL Behring Fermentation facility, Dr. Mekala Venkatachalam, and Sartorius Product Specialist, Peter Tomasello.

The workshop will focus on and explore critical concepts in fermentation, such as:
- Aeration and Agitation Evaluation
- Scale-Up Strategies
- Data Analysis

Whether you are a busy faculty member, professional, or student, this workshop offers much to learn for everyone interested in fermentation processes!
