Sample Drop-Off Guidelines

We ask everyone to follow the guidelines below to minimize disruption of our workflow and to keep turn-around times short.

Sanger Sequencing Samples

  • All Sanger sequencing samples should be left on the black desk outside Chandlee Room 413. Please leave a copy of the order with the samples. Samples may be dropped off between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
  • Samples are picked up throughout the day by facility staff members.
  • Samples do not have to be kept cold.
  • Direct questions regarding Sanger sequencing to Ashley Price via phone (814-865-3332) or email (ajp17@psu.edu).
  • Please do not enter any of the labs to ask a question regarding DNA sequencing.

Fragment Analysis Plates

  • Fragment Analysis plates should be wrapped in foil to protect the fluors from bleaching by exposure to light.
  • Plates are to be left on the black desk outside Chandlee Room 413. Please leave a copy of the order with the plates.  Plates may be dropped off between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
  • The plates are picked up throughout the day by facility staff members.

Bioanalyzer Analysis Samples/Next-Gen Sequencing

  • Make an appointment with Craig Praul by email (cap142@psu.edu) to drop off samples for Bioanalyzer analysis or Next-Gen Sequencing .
  • Do not bring samples without an appointment.
