Sample Drop-Off Guidelines

We ask everyone to follow the guidelines below to minimize disruption of our workflow and to keep turn-around times short.

Sanger Sequencing Samples

  • Please take the elevator to the 4th floor of Chandlee. Bear right out of the elevator and go through the door to the 4th floor stairwell. Place your Sanger sequencing samples on the table in the stairwell and fill out the log
  • Samples may be dropped off between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm Monday through Friday. Results will be available by ~ 8 PM the same day
  • Samples do not have to be kept cold
  • Direct questions regarding Sanger sequencing to Lucy Aplan at laa5252@psu.edu
  • Please do not enter any of the labs to ask a question regarding DNA sequencing.

Fragment Analysis Plates

  • Fragment Analysis plates should be wrapped in foil to protect the fluors from bleaching by exposure to light
