Manju Narwal

Postdoctoral Scholar
Manju Narwal is a postdoctoral fellow at Penn State University, focusing on structural virology and drug discovery. Her research, which began during her Ph.D. at IIT Roorkee, has centered on the structural and functional analysis of viral replication enzymes, including those from Alphavirus and Chikungunya. She has a strong background in using structural data to identify and test inhibitory molecules. As a DST N-PDF fellow at IIT Delhi, she used structural techniques to study how Hepatitis A virus affects human innate immunity. Currently, she is using cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography to investigate bacterial RNA polymerase and SARS-CoV-2 polyprotein processing.
