ENCODE Encyclopedia: Featuring a Registry of Candidate Regulatory Elements and the Visualization Tool SCREEN for Searching Them _ Dr. Zhiping Weng is the_professor and director of Bioinformatics and Integrative Biology program in University of Massachusetts Medical School._Dr. Weng received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University where she was further appointed as instructor and assistant professor. Dr. Weng is one of the leading scientists in Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) project and she leads the data analysis center. Research in Dr. Wengs lab focuses but not limits to understanding the molecular mechanism of gene regulation and its effect in disease development.
