Models in Malaria and Biodefense

I plan to talk briefly along 3 topical lines, and to mention what I see as current critical challenges for modelers in each: epidemiological/population-level modeling in malaria, and neglected lessons from its history, within-host modeling in malaria, focusing on some of my own work, and some cross-cultural challenges of working as an ID modeler among public-health policy people.
