We are pleased to invite you to the Genesis Mission Workshop, an in‑person session designed to bring faculty/staff/researchers together to develop AI‑accelerated research ideas and spark collaborations. The Genesis Mission is a national initiative designed around AI strategy to accelerate the discovery of science, drive energy innovation, and strengthen national security. In particular, it seeks to remove barriers to AI leadership and adoption, accelerate domestic productivity, and catalyze innovation by building one of the largest artificial intelligence ecosystems. Our goal for the workshop is to start building collaborative teams to compete for future funding opportunities related to the Genesis Mission. We have identified five (5) thematic areas (AI, Quantum, Advanced Manufacturing, Biotechnology, and Nuclear Energy) in which we hope to discuss ways where Penn State can contribute to the initiative, identify our strengths, gaps, and areas for strategic partnerships. We hope you will be able to attend. Please note that this workshop is designed to assist in developing our 1, 3, 5, and 10 year vision for engagement with the Genesis Mission.

Please RSVP by April 28, 2026 via limitedsubs@psu.edu
