Abstract: The BioMark line of life science products is meeting the new challenges of today s high throughput research demands through the use of Integrated Fluidic Circuits and nanofluidic technology. These next generation innovative products allow scientists to apply licensed probe-based assays to meet high throughput qPCR assay demands eliminating the need for robotics. The platform supports several applications including gene expression, SNP genotyping, Copy Number Variation and absolute quantitation by digital PCR, a fairly new approach to detecting and quantifying singe molecule/single cell gene targets via real time PCR. Biosketch: Grace received her MS from Johns Hopkins in 1996. She has conducted research at Hopkins and Washington State University as well as at Wyeth Pharmaceutical and Neotropix, a start up biotech company. Lunch: A pizza lunch will be provided to those that pre-register by e-mailing chris.simollardes@fluidigm.com. An e-mail pre-registration is required so we know how much pizza to get. _ This event is sponsored by the Genomics Core facility.
