Whether social living mitigates or exacerbates infectious disease is a continued debate in wildlife studies. Wolves are a social species that congregate in packs, and contact rates within-packs and between-packs are different. This is the concept of modularity. I will be exploring how to use modularity to describe observed disease dynamics in the Yellowstone wolf population.
