Biology Seminar: Beyond microbes: multi’omics reveal the influence(s) of viruses on microbiomes

Dr. Simon Roux (from LBL Joint Genome Institute) will be a speaker in Biology on Tuesday April 22 at 12pm in 08 Mueller. Dr. Roux's areas of expertise are in virus discovery, microbial ecology, & evolutionary genomics. His group has a particular focus on understanding the roles and contributions of viruses in ecosystems that aren’t amenable to culture — e.g., soil & marine environments. Simon is a leader in viral bioinformatics, taxonomy & metagenomics, as well as being an excellent & dynamic speaker!
