COEIB Downstream Processing Workshop

The Center of Excellence in Industrial Biotechnology (COEIB) will be hosting a virtual downstream processing workshop this Fall, and we are welcoming all to attend!
This is a 3-Day workshop, held over three Wednesdays:
- 9/10/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
- 9/17/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
- 9/24/25: 1:00pm - 5:00pm
The cost of attendance is $599/person, which covers all three sessions; PSU Student Rate is $99/person.
The workshop will be led by one of Penn State’s esteemed Chemical Engineering professors, Dr. Andrew Zydney; featuring presentations from Penn State Biotechnology Professor, Dr. Esther Gomez, and Sartorius Chromatography Specialist, Calvin Shanahan.
The workshop will focus on and explore downstream processes, such as:
- Cell Harvesting
- Protein Purification
- Impurity Identification
Whether you are a busy faculty member, professional, or student, this workshop offers much to learn for everyone interested in downstream processes!
