The Center of Excellence in Industrial Biotechnology (COEIB) provides training and professional development through connections with academic researchers and biotechnology companies, creating innovative programs and workshops that foster collaboration, innovation, and career growth. Housed in Penn State’s Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, COEIB connects seven colleges and 31 departments in a shared mission to advance the future of industrial biotechnology.

Biotech Day 2026

A small but concentrated three-hour micro-conference will focus on the advancement of biotechnology, aiming to prepare students for entry into the industry with skills, knowledge, and innovative mindsets that can contribute to the field.
