Center for RNA Molecular Biology
Focuses on understanding the function of systems involving ribonucleic acids (RNA) at the molecular level
The Center for RNA Molecular Biology focuses on understanding the role of RNA in essential biological processes, including transcription, translation, and splicing.
The center brings together faculty, students, and postdoctoral scholars from multiple disciplines, including Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering. Supported by an RNA Salon grant from the RNA Society, the center fosters interdisciplinary research and training across Penn State.
Through regular research presentations by students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty, the center encourages the exchange of ideas, broadens scientific perspectives, and strengthens collaboration in RNA biology.
