For more than two decades, CIDD has helped define the field of ecology and evolution of infectious disease. Its collaborative model has shaped research agendas across academia, public health, and applied infectious disease science, while training many of the field’s emerging leaders. CIDD researchers generate foundational knowledge that informs drug and vaccine development, improves prediction of pathogen emergence and transmission, and strengthens local, regional, and global public health interventions.
