Center for Chemical Ecology Research Showcase
Date & Time: May 1, 2026, 9:00 am–12:30 pm
Location: 118 Ag Sci & Industry Building (9:00–11:00) and 107 Forest Resources Building (11:15–12:30)
We are pleased to invite you to the Spring 2026 Chemical Ecology Research Showcase!
This event will take place on Friday, May 1 in 118 Ag Science & Industry building from 9:00-11:00 am, followed by a keynote seminar from leading chemical ecologist Dr. Jonathan Gershenzon (Director of Biochemistry, Max Planck Institute, Germany) in 112 Forest Resources Building from 11:15-12:15 pm. Students and postdocs are invited to join Dr. Gershenzon for a special lunch mixer after the keynote address from 12:30-1:30 pm.
After the great success we had last semester, we are hoping to expand the scope of research featured at the showcase! Chemosensation is the only sense that all organisms use, and this shared trait unites a great deal of research on our campus, from chemistry to biology to agriculture to food and more.
Registration is open now for 3-minute flash talks from students and faculty. These are intended to be brief "snapshots" or research updates—this could be a quick spotlight on a recent publication, an obstacle in your research you'd like suggestions for solving, or an exciting new finding.
Please see the registration form for more information, and we encourage you to advertise the attached flyer widely.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there! Click this link to register by 04/27/2026.
