Colleen commented that “Kelly has been with the HGSAC since it started and has taken on increasing leadership roles. I am confident that she is going to continue to serve as a voice for graduate students in the IDGP and a liaison between the graduate students and the Huck administration in addition to bringing in new initiatives”
In reflection of her time as chair Colleen highlighted her achievements including organizing 3 workshops, 10 guest lecture events, maintaining the student blog The BRIDGE, and the well-attended career exposure seminars.
When asked her motivations for pursuing leadership roles in the HGSAC, Kelly responded “I wanted build on past efforts to increase Huck graduate student engagement, develop a culture of support and provide students with opportunities to network, learn about career options, and develop skills that they need to pursue the breadth of careers available to our graduates ”.
During her term as Chair, Kelly will be supported by a Huck Graduate Fellowship. Please join us in congratulating Kelly as the new chair of the HGSAC.
