It’s been a full six months since my last “Angle.” That’s not because I haven’t had anything new to share. Just the opposite, in fact. There’s been so much happening at the Huck, there’s really been no time to step back and comment on it all. Let’s see if I can get us at least partially caught up.



 
INTERNAL FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
New Benkovic Research Initiative Launches

We could not be more pleased to announce this new collaboration with the Benkovic Family Foundation and Eberly’s Department of Chemistry to substantially fund risk-taking Penn State research at the interface of chemistry and the life sciences.


Keep Those “HITS” Coming

The latest round of the Huck Innovative and Transformational Seed Fund has come around again to foster innovation in the life sciences at Penn State, beyond what NIH and NSF are willing to embrace.

Zombie Ant Experience Goes on the Road

Huck’s SciArt installation featuring David Hughes’ zombie ant research is now on tour. Having been adapted to a theater version in Harrisburg last Spring, it’s now been moved to Behrend Campus in Erie, where it will remain for a year.


New Podcast Tracks Diverse Human Traits

The Center for Human Evolution and Diversity has launched a new podcast featuring Penn State undergraduates interviewing researcher scientists who are forging new pathways to understanding human evolution.
