Virology@PSU brings together researchers from across Penn State to understand viruses and their impacts from molecular to continental scales.
Virology@PSU represents the diverse interests of Penn State researchers that work on viruses.
The goal of Virology@PSU is to bring together groups that focus on molecular and cellular virology, with those who investigate viruses as part of ecosystems and microbiomes, and those that study virus-host interactions and the spread of viral diseases.
Importantly, Virology@PSU focuses on bringing together the trainees in these labs, to provide them with opportunities for networking, public speaking, and getting feedback on their work in progress. We do this by building on a long-running seminar series by a group of molecular virologists on campus. Participants keep expanding and now include labs working on diverse virus-host interactions, including ecological and modeling aspects of virus research.
