Prepare a strong application
A complete application gives reviewers a clear understanding of an applicant’s academic preparation, research experience, interests, and goals. The following documents will be required as part of the Fox Graduate School application process:

Three letters of recommendation
Letters of recommendation should come from individuals who can speak to an applicant’s academic abilities, research potential, and readiness for graduate study. Applicants are encouraged to request recommendations well before the deadline and provide recommenders with sufficient time to submit their materials.

Personal statement of motivations and goals
Applicants should describe the experiences that have shaped their interest in advanced study and explain how their research interests align with the program.

Apply Online
The online application is managed by the Fox Graduate School. Make sure to follow these directions to get your applications to your desired Huck graduate program.
Go to the Fox Graduate School How to Apply page. Scroll down to the Apply Now section.
Log In or Create a Penn State account.
Click the Start New Application button
Select 'Degree Admission' from the Enrollment Type drop-down.
Select 'University Park' from the Campus drop-down.
Huck applicants: Choose University Park, even if your faculty of interest are located at another Penn State campus. Huck applications are reviewed through University Park.
*The College of Medicine offers a separate Neuroscience PhD program in Hershey. Neuroscience applicants whose faculty of interest are affiliated with the College of Medicine should apply there.

Select your Degree level from the Degree drop-down.
Select Fall (upcoming year) from the Semester drop-down.
