Super-Resolution Microscopes

Fluorescence and confocal microscopes hosted by the Microscopy Facility

Fluorescence and confocal microscopes hosted by the Microscopy Facility feature Nobel Prize-winning super-resolution technology, enabling users to obtain fluorescence images at a resolution beyond the diffraction limit (~250 nm) of light. The microscopes are located in MSC N-030E.

Acquired via an NSF-MRI award (PI: Charlie Anderson), these two microscopes are featuring Nobel Prize winning super resolution technology (2014 Nobel Prize in Chemistry), which enables one to obtain fluorescence images at a resolution beyond diffraction limit (~250 nm) of the light. The microscopes are located in MSC N-030E.
