As part of the Ecology programs Spring Seminar Series *Novel Ecosystems: Evolution and **Invasion*, and in association with our keynote speaker visit, Dr. Richard Hobbs, we request your participation in:

*Novel Ecosystems Research Symposium: An afternoon with Penn State Ecologists (April 12th 1-8pm)*

We invite abstracts that relate broadly to novel ecosystems, including any system that differs in form or function from past systems as a result of changes in climate, land-use, and species distributions. We hope to highlight the wide diversity of ecological research on the Penn State

campus and to share our research under the over-arching theme of novel ecosystems.

Please join us for an afternoon of lightening talks and lively discussion of novel ecosystems led by Penn State researchers. At 4pm Dr. Richard Hobbs will present "*Changing ecologies: Finding ways to the future without losing the past*". We will continue the conversations with an evening of food, drink, and mingling at a poster reception.

Please RSVP here <https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/J582XXN> if you are interested in attending or participating, and *submit abstracts by February 29*. Thank you for your consideration in supporting this event!
