Research interests

  • Genetic characterization of resistance/tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses, as well as genes/QTLs contributing to high fruit quality (in particular, lycopene content) in tomato.
  • Identification, localization, fine mapping, cloning and manipulation of important genes/QTLs for directed crop improvement and germplasm enhancement.
  • Tomato cultivar development and release.
