The Penn State Neuroscience Institute
The Penn State Neuroscience Institute (PSNI) spans both the Hershey and University Park campuses. It provides oversight and coordination for neuroscience-related activities in education, research, patient care and outreach.
Faculty and their research groups are affiliated with diverse Departments and Colleges, thereby bringing together different disciplines of the life sciences and beyond.
The organizational structure is designed to:
- Foster inter- and multi-disciplinary research and teaching (see the Neuroscience Graduate Program)
- Catalyze cross-campus collaborations between researchers at University Park and faculty in the Hershey Neuroscience Research Institute
- Enhance integration of basic and clinical neuroscience.
