Heikal lab

In the Heikal lab, we are using quantitative live imaging approaches to study membrane structure. Particular interests include thermodynamic changes in synthetic and natural membranes, as well as changes in plasma membrane nanostructure downstream of IgE signaling in RBL cells. We are also developing a new assay for energy metabolism using natural cofactors as intrinsic probes for cell physiology and pathology.
