The Microscopy and Cytometry Facility will be hosting a lecture and a series of equipment demonstrations by Jack Garner, Systems Specialist at Carl Zeiss MicroImaging.
Lecture
The lecture is entitled "Laser microdissection tool for cellular/molecular research: basics and applications."
Equipment demo
The equipment for demo is the Zeiss PALM MicroBeam Laser Microdissection System — used for isolating groups of cells, single cells and cell components for molecular/cell biology, genomics and proteomics, forensics, cancer and stem cell research.
The first equipment demo will be held in MSC N-032 (basement) immediately following the lecture.
Additional demos
Additional demos will be conducted in MSC N-032, as follows:
Potential users are encouraged to attend and perform hands-on test of the system with their own samples.
Contacts
To schedule
