Curriculum

PhD students in Genetics are required to take at least 15 credits of approved genetics courses. MS students are required to take at least 12 credits.

These courses will be selected from the recommended and elective lists provided below.

Required:

  • Colloquium (GEN 590)
  • Ethics (HUM 500)

Recommended:

  • Cell Biology (CMBIO 540)
  • Molecular Biology (CMBIO 503)
  • Population Genetics/Molecular Evolution (BIOL 405) [This is taught at the main campus and telecommunicated to Hershey]
  • Genetic Approaches to Biomedical Problems (GEN 597)
