What deadlines should I be aware of?

Typically, faculty begin reviewing applications on December 1. Applications will be reviewed until all available positions for the following Fall semester are filled.

Successful candidates are admitted to graduate programs in the Fall (autumn) semester of each year. Faculty in most programs begin to consider applicants for admission on 1 December of the preceding year (e.g. December 2008 for admission in Fall 2009). Most programs have a rolling admissions policy. The best-qualified applicants will be accepted up to the number of spaces available for new students.

If the spaces on the relevant program have already been filled for the year, your application may not be reviewed until the following year. Therefore, you are encouraged to apply in the fall semester for admission in the following fall. You should also check the "Admissions Requirements" page for the program you are interested in, to see if there are program-specific deadlines.
