Dr Hoffmann was awarded the 1981 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
Note that Dr Hoffmann is also giving another lecture while visiting Penn State, at 4pm on November 6, in the Berg Auditorium (100 Life Sciences Building), entitled Science and ethics: a marriage of necessity and choice for the millennium.
