Showcases bioenergy research, including steps in the process chain from photosynthesis to energy utilization. Brings together researchers from the life sciences and physical sciences along with key stakeholders from industry and government.

Brings together Penn State researchers interested in neuroscience. Open to undergraduates, grad students, postdocs and faculty. No registration required (except for faculty wanting to attend dinner on the Friday evening before). Poster sessions, data blitzes and discussions on topics that include: neural proteomics and genomics; electrophysiology and neural encoding; animal models; and systems neuroscience.

Aimed at health professionals with an interest in sleep disorders. Focuses on the clinical implications of the epidemiologic studies of sleep disorders in children and adults. Registration is required, but the $100 registration fee is waived for PSU faculty, staff, and students.

A fast-paced high-energy workshop focusing on technology entrepreneurship and commercialization: how to turn an innovative product idea into a new venture. Presentations will focus on technology entrepreneurship, opportunity assessment, venture capital, marketing, intellectual property, business plans and related topics. A mini-expo featuring successful Penn State Faculty and Student startups and local resources for entrepreneurs will also be held alongside the workshop to provide networking opportunities.

Tue Nov 27 at 11:00AM Cyber-Enabled Discovery and Innovation workshop
Brings together domain (life sciences, materials, ecology etc) and method (data mining, applied math, informatics, computing etc.) scientists to discuss multidisciplinary collaborations in cyber-enabled discovery and innovation (CDI). Lunch provided. Register by November 21.
