Tours


There will be guided tours to three research facilities on the University Park campus. All tours will depart from Osmond Lab.

The Center for Quantitative Cell Analysis – Tours at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, & 2pm
Explore the microscopic world around you- look at bugs, cheek cells, and your own samples! Older visitors can view our more advanced microscopes.

Electron Microscope Facility – Tours at 1pm and 2pm
What goes on inside cells? Come see the nano-scaled fine structure of different tissues from animals, plants, insects, and bacteria. Experience zooming into cells with a powerful microscope that magnifies up to 500,000 times!

The Greenhouse Facility – Tours at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm
Learn about the millions of plants that share our world. You'll never look at your garden in the same way!

Hands-on DNA – Tours at 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm
Have you seen DNA?  Want to change the looks of a bug using DNA?  Want to know how DNA fingerprinting works?  Go to the Huck Institute's Instructional Laboratory in Molecular Biology, room 204 Wartik Laboratory Building.
